How It Works 

1:1 Introductions (30–45 minutes, monthly) 

• The Smart-Match algorithm pairs you with members based on goals, interests, and profile details.
• You’ll be introduced via email with suggested conversation starters, then it’s up to you to reach out and book the meeting.
• Tip: The more complete your profile and goals, the better your matches. Update your profile every 3–6 months for the best results.

Network at your own pace 

• Going through a busy period? Turn off auto-matching any time and resume when your schedule allows.
• Schedule your meetings when you want and on your preferred online platform (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, etc.).

Feedback & Badges 

• After each meeting, complete a short survey to earn profile badges that highlight your engagement.

Member Search & Messaging 

• You don't have to wait to be matched with someone. Use the Member Directory to find members by goal, interest, program, and career and connect directly.

We recommend using your personal email (instead of your @guelphhumber.ca address), as your University of Guelph-Humber email will become inactive one year after graduation. 

Once you sign up with your name and personal email, you’ll be directed to a setup page where you can: 

• Indicate your role (student, alumni, etc.) and your program
• Select your goals and interests
• Choose the types of members you’d like to be paired with 

The more complete your profile, the better your matches! This process takes 5–10 minutes and ensures your experience on the platform is engaging and rewarding. To verify your profile, check your email for a verification link sent after you sign up.
